Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how TPOAF handles personal information in connection with its business-support programme, website, applicant accounts, sponsorship/partnership submissions and contact correspondence.

1. Information we collect

• Account and contact information: name, email address, phone numbers and account credentials.
• Applicant information: date of birth, gender, origin information, residential information and business information provided in an application.
• Application materials: written answers, business details, revenue estimates and application video.
• Selected-beneficiary information: identity information, NIN, bank information, verification results, beneficiary photograph and media-consent choice where applicable.
• Support and correspondence: sponsor/partner details, contribution information, uploaded payment proof and messages sent through the contact form.
• Security data: technical information reasonably necessary to operate, protect and audit the service.

2. Why we use information

We use personal information to operate the programme, assess eligibility and applications, communicate with users, protect programme integrity, verify selected beneficiaries, prepare grant payments, administer sponsor/partner contributions, respond to enquiries, maintain appropriate records and comply with legal obligations.

3. Identity and bank verification

Sensitive identity and banking information is requested only when necessary. We may use trusted service providers to confirm identity or bank-account information. Such information is not used for public promotion.

4. Publicity and media consent

Where TPOAF would like to publish a beneficiary’s photograph, name, business information or grant award, the beneficiary is asked separately for permission. A refusal of optional publicity consent does not by itself affect the grant.

5. Information sharing

Information may be shared with authorised TPOAF personnel and service providers who need it to perform legitimate programme functions. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect rights or safety, or to investigate suspected fraud or misuse.

6. Security

TPOAF uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information processed. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, and users should protect their passwords and avoid sending sensitive identity data through ordinary contact messages.

7. Retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the programme purpose, accountability, fraud prevention, legal obligations and legitimate record keeping. Different categories of information may have different retention periods.

8. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of or other appropriate action concerning your personal information. You may also withdraw optional media consent for future discretionary use. Some records may need to be retained where required for legal, financial, fraud-prevention or accountability reasons.

9. Children

The business grant is not intended for children. Applicants must meet any age requirement published for the programme and be legally capable of providing the information requested.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this Notice when the programme, legal requirements or data practices change. The effective date shown above indicates the current version.
